The public computer lab on the lower level of the library has thirty one iMacs with both Windows 7 and OS X installed. Restart to switch operating system. They all have web design & graphics, math & statistics, and word processing & general computing capabilities split between the two operating systems.

Library Computer Lab

Food and Drink are not permitted in the lab. All containers must remain sealed and on the floor.

Mobile Phone use is not permitted in the Lab.

The copiers are for printing only. If you wish to make copies, please use the copiers on the main level and by the snack machines.

If you have any questions, please ask the Lab Monitor for assistance.


Heimbold Digital Media Lab

Food and Drink are not permitted in the lab. All containers must remain sealed and on the floor.

Mobile Phone use is not permitted in the Lab.

Printing:

The Stylus Pro 9880 is available to Visual Arts students.

The Stylus Pro 4800 and Stylus Pro 4880 are available to Photography students.

The DesignJet Z2100 is available to all students with the following exceptions: Science and Dance students may not print posters on this printer.

If you have any questions, please ask the Lab Monitor for assistance.

In addition to the two electronic classrooms in the library, SLC has a number of rooms in which faculty members can use a computer as part of their teaching. Please contact us for advice on integrating technology into your teaching.

Located in Heimbold 209, the Digital Media Lab is your resource for digital art. Whether you are working with images, animation, video, sound, and animation, or scanning and printing, we have the facilities and support to help you get it done.

While priority is given to art classwork, the Digital Media Lab is open to the entire academic community.

The Lab has 12 workstations. The Classroom (209A) has 15 student stations and a teacher station.

Printers:

   Standard Black&White and Color MFP's.
  • Color Printer features 11x17 Capability
   HP DesignJet Z2100
  • Large format printer capable of 44" wide prints 
   Epson Stylus Pro 9880 (reserved for Visual Arts students)
  •  Large format photo printer capable of 44" wide prints 
   Epson Stylus Pro 4800 & 4880 (reserved for Photography students)
  • Professional ink jet photo printers capable of 18" wide prints
  • one each configured for Matte Black and Photo Black inks 

Scanners:
   
      A range of scanners for Negatives, Photographs,
      Documents and Large Formats are available
 
Hours:
 
      The lab is open 9am-9pm Mon-Thurs and 9am-5pm Fri while classes are in session
      Hours may be shortened for breaks and holidays
