The following documents must travel with the student:
- Valid Passport
- Valid F-1 (Student) Visa
- Valid I-20
In order to be able to return to the U.S. after leaving for any period of time, at any point in the year, students must have their I-20 form with them which must be signed less than one year prior to re-entry. Students also need a valid passport and student visa. Before traveling outside the U.S., it is recommended that students make photocopies of all their documents, including their passport, I-20 and F-1 visa.
Students should present these documents to their DSO, so that copies can be kept on file at the school. Students should always carry original documents with them when traveling.
