The Sarah Lawrence College Peer Health Educator Program is a comprehensive, 8-hour training provided by SLC’s Health & Wellness Center. The program is designed to empower students with the core training to educate, intervene, listen to, and help their peers make healthy lifestyle choices. The training will provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to plan programming and educational events on campus, as well as to educate members of the campus community on options to improve their health. After successfully completing the training, students will be Certified Peer Educators (CPE).

The 2023 training will occur over the course of a few days. Interested parties need to attend these sessions in order to participate in the PHE program. Once training is complete and students have taken and passed a short PHE certification exam, they will be able to officially participate in creating and facilitating programming on campus working with the Health & Wellness Center.
