Reservation Information
Faculty members, staff and approved special guests and interview candidates (for staff and faculty positions) may be housed in the Hyatt Hotel in Cross County Center for the 2023-2024 school year. The Hyatt is located at 7000 Mall Walk, Yonkers, NY 10704.
All reservations must be arranged through the Campus Operations office by completing the Faculty/ Staff/Guest Reservation Form.
Reservations must be made at least one week in advance to assure the best chance for availability. The College has only two rooms per night available to be booked on a first-come, first-served basis; therefore it is imperative that requests be submitted as far in advance as possible. Requests for hotel room reservation will be confirmed by Campus Operations. You cannot contact the Hyatt directly to reserve a room.
In accordance with Hyatt’s policies, cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance. Please notify Campus Operations (Monday-Friday) or the Hyatt (Saturday and Sunday) to cancel a stay. Any fees associated with improper cancellations must be reimbursed by the individual; the College will not cover these fees.
Check in is 3 pm on the day of arrival. Check out time is 12 noon on the day of departure.
Faculty and staff members are limited to a maximum number of three reservations per month which can be made separately or utilized in three consecutive nights.
Business Purpose
Overnight accommodation requests are for Sarah Lawrence College business related purposes only. Business-related purposes are college events requiring an individual’s attendance that would be very difficult without local accommodation, e.g., a late event followed by an early morning class taught by someone living far away. The Hyatt accommodation is not intended for regular use throughout an academic semester or year.
For faculty, prior approval must be obtained from the Office of the Provost (provost@sarahlawrence.edu). For staff, prior approval must be obtained from the relevant Senior Staff member.
All requests must be submitted by email with the stated business justification.
Payment
Rooms at the Hyatt cost anywhere from $140 to $190 per night depending on the time of year and reservation date. The College will subsidize the cost such that SLC faculty and staff will pay $65 per night (tax applicable). The remaining room charges will be paid by the College. The $65 payment plus any incidentals will be charged directly to the guest by the Hyatt.
