Sarah Lawrence provides access to two different Aetna dental plans (DMO and PPO), in which employees may choose to enroll at the full cost of coverage. The Aetna DMO plan requires that you select a participating dentist, and generally provides a better level of coverage than the PPO plan, however on the PPO plan employees are not required to only visit their selected dentist and may visit any PPO participating dentist.
Premiums are paid through payroll deduction. You may join on the first of the month following employment or during open enrollment in October. Employees may choose to move between the DMO and PPO plans, provided that they notify Human Resources by the 10th of the month, for a change to go into effect on the 1st of the following month.
