In partnership with the Diversity, Advisory, and Programming Subcommittee (DAPS), which consists of undergraduate students, DEI staff creates opportunities for learning, dialogue, and action around issues of belonging, and social and economic equity.
The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion also hosts a dialogue series, Real Talk @ SLC, which focuses on understanding our intersecting social identities and experiences. Real Talk @ SLC is facilitated by students for student and was created to help break down the barriers that exist around talking about social identity issues.
The Office also provides mediation support and serves as a resource to students who are dealing with issues related to prejudice and exclusion on campus.
