 INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SERVICES

WELCOME TO SARAH LAWRENCE!

Dear International Students,

Welcome!

We are excited to have you at Sarah Lawrence College, and are here to help you navigate life as an international student. This page is designed to help you acclimate living in a new country, and to keep you informed about important immigration information. We encourage you to use this information and other sources found on our site. The MySLC International Student page is a good starting point for common questions international students often have.

We hope your time at Sarah Lawrence is amazing and we look forward to supporting you during your time here.

Whom We Serve

We serve the F-1 (nonimmigrant) international population of undergraduate and graduate students at Sarah Lawrence College and the departments that support them. Our priority is to provide vital information to help international students through the confusing immigration world and even assist our international students after graduation while on Post-completion OPT and/or STEM OPT.

What We Do

We are the international student’s primary resource for immigration-related needs, providing advisory assistance, documentation services and a variety of information such as: visas, employment, travel, and tax-filing obligations. We are liaisons between the international student and U.S. government agencies, where we monitor the regulations from U.S government agencies that have jurisdiction over the stay of our international students, and we are responsible for institutional compliance. Our goal is to foster the development and education of international students with support and the creation of a more intercultural and inclusive community through holistic advising, collaborative programming, and advocacy.
