The benefits described in this section are available to regular full-time and regular part-time employees upon completion of the various waiting periods required for each benefit. For purposes of determining completion of waiting periods, "date of employment" is defined as the first day of the month coinciding with or next following the first day of active work. In addition, the waiting period for each benefit must be satisfied by uninterrupted service in an eligible category.
