Scanning in Windows

Multi-page Documents: Use Adobe Acrobat

  1. Open Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro
  2. In the upper left corner, click “Create” and choose “PDF from scanner.”
  3. A dropdown menu with color options for your image will appear; select your color preferences.
  4. A box may appear prompting you to choose a scanner; click ok. Where it says “select a device” choose the scanner you are connected to (Epson Perfection V700 or Epson Perfection 2480).
  5. Finally, click “scan.”

Images: Use EPSON Scan

  1. Place your picture on the scanner bed.
  2. Press the GREEN “Scan” button (Not a power button). A new dialogue box will appear.
  3. Click on “EPSON Scan” and then “OK”.
  4. In the next dialogue box, click “Scan” to scan your image.
  5. In the next dialogue box, choose your location of the file in “Location” and the type of file in “Image Format”. Then press “OK” to finish scanning.
  6. Your image should appear in a new window.

Scanning in OSX

Adobe Acrobat

  1. To scan into Adobe Acrobat, use the same steps as with Image Capture, but where it says “Scan to” choose “Other” (Instead of “Desktop”) and then in APPLICATIONS choose Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  2. After you click “Scan” your final image should appear in Adobe Acrobat Pro.

Image Capture

  1. Place item or image face down in EPSON scanner and close the lid.
  2. Press the scan button on the scanner (the button with the green box and arrow).
  3. Image Capture should automatically open and a preview of your image will appear.
  4. Un-check “Detect Separate Items” to scan your image as a whole.
  5. Click “Show Details” to crop your image or make other changes to it. (May want to save image as JPEG or PDF).
  6. Click “Hide Details” to return to your main image.
  7. In the “Scan To” dropdown, click “Desktop” to be able to access your image easily after it is scanned.
  8. Finally, click “Scan.”
