Wellness Week is taking place on Monday, November 4 through Friday, November 8 (excluding the Election Day holiday on Tuesday, November 5th)! Events that center practices for self-care and community building will be taking place throughout the week and across campus, hosted by various campus partners. We invite everyone in the SLC community to stop by the events listed below!

Wellness Week 2024 Tentative Schedule

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 4

Wellness Week with Graduate Studies - 10:00am - 1:00pm - Slonim House

Stop by the Office of Graduate Studies in Slonim House for some delicious fruit, coloring books, and stress toys! Grad students who show up will be entered into a daily raffle!

Rituals for Resistance - 4:00pm - 5:00pm The Spiritual Space

A meet-up in the Spiritual Space for people who identify as spiritual and/or religious to share what they love about their traditions and practices, and what keeps them grounded in difficult times.

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 5

Coloring, Crafting, and Coming To Terms with Stress: A Guide on how to take care of yourself and build a culture of kindness to help you navigate stress - 1:00pm - 2:30pm - Bates 201

Let's Talk-Drop in support time with CAPS at BWCC

Affirmations, wellness tips, mindfulness strategies, and wellness challenges

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 6

Donut Stress, Treat Yourself! - 9:00am - Hill House Parking Lot

Sometimes it’s the little things! When you’re on your way to your next obligation and rushing from place to place, it can be challenging to find those small pockets of joy between the busyness of the day. Whether you can stop and chat or only have a second to spare, ResLife is here to provide you a short reprieve. We’ll be hosting pop-up stations for you to grab a warm treat to start off your day right.

Peace is Every Step: Mindfulness Walk - 12:00pm - South Lawn 

A guided group walk on the North Lawn inspired by Thich Nhat Hanh's teachings to restore peacefulness and gratitude. Weather permitting. Meet in the Spiritual Space for instructions.

Rest is Resistance: Discussion and Rest Period - 3:00pm - 4:00pm - The Spiritual Space

A brief discussion on the importance of rest to resist grind culture and dehumanization, followed by a collective resting and daydreaming period in the Spiritual Space.

Drop-In Flu Shots (no appointment needed) - 1:00pm - 3:00pm - Health & Wellness Center

Space for Grace: Letterwriting Event - 1:30pm -2:30pm - The HUB

Join the Office of Student DEIB as wehold space for ways we can invite more grace and care for ourselves.Doing so for self can extend more grace to others as well. Let's write letters to ourselves and process together over some nourishing food. This gathering will be in the HUB Community Room .

Ask a Nurse - 12:30pm - 1:30pm - BWCC

Health & Wellness offers a range of events that vary each semester focused on Wellbeing. In a standing manner students can book the Wellness Space for massage chair, Broad spectrum light, quiet space, or private space for telehealth appointments. 

Tea with Title IX - 12:00pm - 1:00pm

Pick up resources, meet the Title IX Coordinator, and have a complimentary cup of tea from the Teahaus, all hosted by the Title IX Office and the SEVA Peers.

Paint and Plant Session with Graduate Studies - 4:30pm - 6:30pm - Slonim House
