Employees may choose to participate in theĀ AFLAC supplemental Cancer Protection Plan. This plan helps supplement primary health plans by providing direct-to-the-policyholder cash benefits to help fill gaps in traditional health insurance coverage, such as deductibles, out-of-pocket expenses and loss of earning power, among others. Premiums are paid by the employee through payroll deduction. Employees are eligible on the first of the month following employment or during open enrollment in October of each year.
