This beautiful building used to be home to Sarah Lawrence and her husband William Van Duzer Lawrence, the College's founder. You will be living right in the heart of campus - close to food, classrooms and the main lawns. In addition, Westlands is designated substance-free, and quiet housing. Admissions is located on the first floor of this building, as well as the offices of the President, Dean of Studies, Dean of the College, International Programs, and more.

New Dorms

The New Dorms sit on the North Lawn, just a short walk from Bates Dining Hall, Science Center, the Pub and the Library. The building consists of Rothschild, Garrison and Taylor.

Garrison and Taylor

In Garrison and Taylor there are communal bathrooms on each floor, and access to a communal kitchenette that is shared with the entire building. This traditional residence hall setup makes it easy for close-knit communities to flourish on each floor.

Rothschild is apartments that are made up of between four and six single rooms that share bathrooms and a spacious kitchen and common area. Rothschild is also one of the few air conditioned residence halls on campus.
