Tracking number says DELIVERED?
Many companies use USPS Delivery Confirmation as their preferred shipping method. “Delivery Confirmation” is something of a misnomer. When the USPS web site tells you that such an item has been “delivered,” it means that it has arrived at the local Post Office in Bronxville, not at Sarah Lawrence College.
Packages are brought to SLC at various times throughout the day. Items must first be received then assigned by the SLC Post Office.
Until you receive an email from the SLC Post Office, the package or mail is not yet in our tracking system. Once assigned, you will receive an automated email letting you know your item is ready for pick up at the SLC Post Office.
Someone else picking up a package for you?
Under limited circumstances, with preapproval, you may have a proxy collect a package on your behalf. For authorization and instructions please email postoffice@sarahlawrence.edu.
Missing a package?
We work hard to make certain no package goes astray! Occasionally, packages arrive with incomplete, missing or incorrect names. If you are expecting a package and it has not yet arrived, please send tracking information, your name and SLC ID number to the SLC Post Office at postoffice@sarahlawrence.edu. We will investigate and reply to your email as soon as possible!
Flower Deliveries
Flower deliveries to individuals living or working in Westlands will go to the Post Office if delivered during business hours. If delivered after hours, flowers will be held at Swinford Annex.
Food Deliveries
Students living in Westlands or Inner Campus residences should meet their delivery person at Westlands Gate.
Perishable items
The Post Office is not equipped to store perishable items. If your confirmation email states "perishable", we recommend you collect your items before the end of the business day.
