The Office of Career Services
The Office of Career Services collaborates with Graduate Program Directors to support graduate students in their career development and connect them to resources, opportunities, programs and advice.
Graduate students can make an appointment with a career adviser, attend Career Services’ programs and workshops, and access our online platforms for connecting with alumni and searching for jobs and internships.
Career Services Online Platforms
Handshake - This online platform is where you'll be able to search for internships/entry level jobs, RSVP to events, and make appointments with a career adviser. You can log into Handshake using your Gryphon Mail email.
SLC Connect - SLC Connect is Sarah Lawrence's premier networking platform, which allows all students to message alumni professionals directly for career advice.
Career Services Communications
Follow Career Services on Instagram (@SLC_Career Services) and remember to open and read Career Services emails, including their weekly newsletter to the SLC Community, which regularly features select paid internship opportunities, upcoming programs and resources.
One-on-One Career Advising
Appointments typically cover one or more of the following topics: career exploration, resume and cover letter development & review, internship & job search strategies, personal branding, mock interviews, and networking advice. To make an appointment, click on "Appointments" under the "Career Center" tab on Handshake.
Career Exploration and Networking Programs
Throughout the academic year, Career Services hosts a variety of events such as industry panels, networking events, internship fairs, and employer site visits. For more information about upcoming programs and to RSVP, visit the "Events" under the "Career Center" tab on Handshake.
We are grateful for the extraordinary commitment of our alumni, many of whom participate in programs and networking events, provide mentorship and career advice, and/or share internships and entry-level job opportunities on SLC Connect. The Office of Career Services is here to help students establish relationships with alumni professionals on and off the platform, as well as on LinkedIn.
