Description
Activate your inner acrobat! This beginner-level class will offer a fun and challenging environment to build foundational strength, mobility, and body awareness for circus arts. We will not be doing complex acrobatics. This class will include movement prep, cardio warm up, conditioning, and across the floor skill building that integrates principles from applied neuroscience, somatics, circus, and fitness traditions. We will also unpack and demystify the physical and mental actions that occur when muscles coordinate with breath to engage, stretch, and relax. This class will include guided partner activities with consent-based physical touch of ankles, feet, hands, and back.
