Prerequisite: Submitted proposal to Dean of Studies. Independent study is available only to juniors and seniors. Fieldwork is open to students except first-years and first semester transfers. Refer to MySLC page for materials and submission instructions for further information. Students who submitted and were approved for an Independent Study, Fieldwork, Conference Course, or Senior Thesis prior to registration should already be manually registered and should confirm on Courses by Distribution Area. That course should also appear as a registered course in OCS. If you plan to submit a proposal for the fall, you must select and submit one of the placeholder course numbers as follows: INDP-6500-Z-5 (5 credits), INDP-6500-Z-4 (4 credits), INDP-6500-Z-3 (3 credits), INDP-6500-Z-2 (2 credits). Completed proposals must be submitted to the Dean of Studies no later than the last day of the first week of classes.
