MySLC Documentation: Personal Info

My Info Popup

The "My Info Popup" displays certain information, such as your name, e-mail, and any custom info you have created.

Faculty/Staff

1. To see how your "My Info Popup" appears to other users on MySLC click the "Preview My Info pop-up" link at the bottom of any tab in the "Personal Info" section.
   
2. A separate window will load that displays your information such as your email, office hours, and any custom info you have added. Staff members' popups can only be seen by MySLC users in the same context as a staff member (for more about contexts visit Pages, Portlets, and Layout: What is a Context?). For example, if they belong to the same Campus Group as a staff member they can view the popup within the context of that group. All users can view a faculty's popup by searching for the faculty member in the Academics portlet (for more information visit Course Navigation: Using Course Search).
   

Student

1. To see how your "My Info Popup" appears to other users on MySLC click the "Preview My Info pop-up" link at the bottom of the section.
   
2. A separate window will load that displays your information. Only MySLC users in the same context as you can view your popup (for more about contexts visit Pages, portlets, and Layout: What is a Context?). For example, if a faculty member is your professor they can view your e-mail within the context of your class. Or if you belong to the same Campus Group as a staff member they can view your email within the context of that group.
